to draw a rural scene from both an aerial perspective and at eye-level…i went with a tibetan village, but instead of drawing the same village from two different views, i decided to hold the vantage point constant, the centre of the two illustrations. upon looking down, one will see a high angle view of the untidy village sprawled beneath one’s feet, but looking straight ahead, one would be faced with the tranquil retreat perched on remote heights, spanned by a lone stone bridge…the two communities disparate, yet one…
